Pajama Program Honored Anchor Soledad O'Brien as its 2005 Mother of the the Year
Katherine Dwyer and Tony Cointreau Received the Pajama Program's Humanitarian of the Year Award at the Charity's 2005 Awards Luncheon.
The Pajama Program honoroed CNN anchor Soledad O'Brien is its "Mother of the Year." M. Katherine Dwyer, founder of skinklinic, and former president of Revlon, as well as Tony Cointreau of Cointreau Liqueur, were also being honored with the Pajama Program's Humanitarian of the Year Awards. The awards were presented at the Pajama Program's 2005 Awards Luncheon on May 6, 2005 at New York's Pierre Hotel.
In addition to a successful and acclaimed career in broadcast journalism, O'Brien, married to investment banker Brad Raymond, is mother of four -- daughters Sofia born in 2000 and Cecilia in 2002, and twin sons Charlie and Jackson in 2004. O'Brien is also parenting columnist for USA Weekend magazine.

skilled nursing
facility exclusively serving HIV-infected children from
natural,
adoptive and foster families — from a halfway house for
AIDS newborns into a full-scale, interdisciplinary treatment
program that provides medical care, social services,
psychotherapy and therapeutic services, rehabilitation
services and therapeutic recreation.
Liqueur heir Tony Cointreau has performed as a singer throughout the U.S, and Europe, and spent 12 years with Mother Teresa caring for young men dying of AIDS in New York, and with orphans and handicapped children in Calcutta.

Pajama Program Reading Center Open in Westchester

In our efforts to provide a nurturing atmosphere for local children in need we have opened an on-site program in Westchester County, New York.
The Pajama Program Reading Center is open to children of all ages. Visitors come from invited Westchester-area organizations that work with or provide services to youngsters, such as group homes, foster care agencies, homeless shelters and schools. While at the Pajama Program Reading Center, youngsters are able to read -- or be read to -- and get to select books to keep. Pajamas are given to the young guests to complete their visit.
The Pajama Program Reading Center space is donated by the Andrus Children's Center.

Meredith Vieira Honored as Pajama Program’s “2004 Mother of the Year” and Kitty Carlisle Hart, as “Woman of the Year”
The Pajama Program honored Emmy winner Meredith Vieira of ABC-TV’s “The View” as “2004 Mother of the Year.” The award was given at the Program’s annual awards and benefit luncheon on Friday, April 30, 2004 at Manhattan’s Pierre Hotel. Kitty Carlisle Hart, the actress and philanthropist, was honored as “Woman of the Year.”
