Verizon Employees Fall 2006 Program Drive Tops 2005 Drive!
Thank you to all participating Verizon employees in Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, D.C. ! Your gifts to the children in your areas were extremely generous! We are thrilled to announce your collection results:
6,578 pairs of pajamas collected
7,572 NEW books collected
$4,706 in monetary donations
All of the pajamas and books were delivered to local receiving organizations before the holidays.
Verizon employees kicked off their campaign with "Pajama Parties" to gain enthusiasm and initiate donation sites at approximately 100 of their locations throughout the region. They asked employees to donate at one of the sites or mail checks directly to the Pajama Program.
In the Fall of 2005 Verizon's promotion with Pajama Program brought in more than 5,000 pairs of pajamas, 10,000 books (NEW and LIKE NEW) and more than $4,000!!
